Weekend Review

We had a fantastic weekend. I would say the very best weekend known to man kind! (Ok maybe that was over kill, but still it was great!) First and foremost it was my wonderful, fabulous, extremely handsome husband's birthday.
You give this man anything to do with cars or performance vehicles and he is like a kid in a candy store. Watching Top Gear makes him happy.

Yes some of the cake is missing. He couldn't wait to try it,

He turned 28 this year! I can't believe that I have known him for 6 years, 4 of which we have spent as husband and wife. I love every minute of it.
I believe in a birthday week, which means you get to do whatever you want through the week of your birthday. You get all your favorite meals and no chores. He was thrilled. It also means ice cream whenever you want.

We have been making drapes for our living room. And when I say we, I mean we. Daniel helped a lot with all the math work and cutting. He even sewed one of the curtain panels.

We've also been all about gardening. My husband has such a green thumb, which I am convinced is hereditary. He has been growing Gladiolas and I can't wait till they reach their full height and bloom.

On Thursday night we got to visit the temple and enjoy in partaking the blessings of eternal marriage. It was such a wonderful evening. I love visiting the temple.

Then for the Hubs birthday we went to Super Cross and even though I wasn't super excited about it, I ended up enjoying every minute.

Then to finish off the weekend we watched General Conference, which is a Semi-Annual meeting for the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, although everyone is invited to watch/listen to and hear the great and inspired messages from God.
As we listened we were reminded of the immense love God has for all of us. And although every talk hit a special part in my heart, I especially loved President Dieter F. Utchdorf's message. I was reminded that blessings don't just come once in a while or only after asking for something, blessings come everyday and through every breath I breath. Although the blessing I desire most hasn't come yet, I am blessed. It truly brings tears to my eyes when I think about how loved and blessed I am. I love my God and am so grateful for all he bestows upon me. I'm so thankful for my sweet husband and the love we share together. We are so blessed.

I hope you all remember to count your blessings and realize that God does not ever leave you alone. What a great blessing it is to know that He will lift you, heal you and make you perfect as you place your faith in Him and allow Him to carry you.
Have a great week

  1. What a beautiful way to celebrate both Daniel's birthday and life in general. Can't wait to see the curtains!
