It finally stopped raining but now it's just plain hot and humid. I feel like I just got out of the shower every time I step outside and it's not a pleasant feeling. And because I have been constantly sweating I have had this amazing thought, a wish really-to be cool. So I have decided I am going to cut my hair. My husband hates the idea, mostly because he thinks I will hate it after a while, but the desire to blow my hair dry with out breaking a sweat is very enticing. So the decision has been made! My hair is going to get cut and thats all there is about it! But long hair I will sure miss you. Good thing hair grows back right?

Casual

We have had a week full of rain. EVERY single day we have had rain. Which is great, I love the rainy weather and man we need it here! But all the rain makes me want to curl up on the couch and read a good book. So most days have called for super casual attire. I found this shirt at Target a while back on the sale rack for $5! Can you believe that!?? There was no way I was going to  let it slip through my shopping crazy hands! ha ha. My white pants from Old Navy get a ton of wear. They, being white, go with everything. Although the look is nautical/casual, my necklace from groopdealz (I love this fringe necklace sooo much!) gives it the perfect amount of glam with out being too over the top!

I'm wearing all my favorite things in this post. This lace shirt is a simple, cream, lace shirt but the texture is so comfortable and it has a zipper in the back, which I love. My navy shorts..... Ah, I love these bad boys, they are comfy (sensing a theme?) but you can so dress them up or keep it easy and casual. My necklace that I found a while back at TJ Maxx IS. MY. FAVE! I wore it to church on Sunday, which I was a little nervous about, it's kind of loud, but I got sooooo many complements on it. Everyone said it looked very "Egyptian Princess" which I took as a complement because who doesn't want to be a princess? I found these shoes at Gap on sale, I got them on SUPER SALE over July 4th weekend and they ended up being $10! I was thrilled. They are so fun, bright and COMFY! ha ha I'm telling you I just really like to be comfortable. I like little details that make the clothing seem special. That, to me is perfection! And this bag from Old Navy is just that. It's a simple, brown leather bag, but then it has these tassels that just give it a little personality and I love it! It too is a very comfortable feeling bag. It's light weight and feels like butter. And I found it at Old Navy so I got it for a great price! These are some of my very favorite things all in one outfit. Hope you like it!

Feeling Lazy

Do you ever hit a period of time in your life, when you just don't want to do anything? I have been feeling like this for the last couple of days. Sometimes I don't even want to get ready for the day..... I just want to be completely lazy, lay on the beach somewhere with The Hubs and DO NOTHING! Isn't that terrible?  I don't know how to break out of this funk.... maybe the answer to the problem is just to go to Hawaii and get it out of my system ha ha. If only it were that easy! 

So let me talk about this outfit. I love this shirt, the little blue flower print along with the stiff colar reminds me of a true cowboy shirt. But the tie in the front makes it modern as well as sticking to that old country feel. I just really love it! I love to mix print and the small floral print mixes easy with anything. Personally I love stripes and floral. I also like to mix color like my green necklace and purple earrings. The colors actually work well with each other and don't over throw one another. And there you have it!

This look was inspired by the super talented Brittany Fuson. If you don't know who she is, let me just say that she creates some of the prettiest fashion illustrations EVER! ( follow her on Instagram @brittanyfuson) I inspire to become one of her illustrations some day! Her denim vest print pant combo illustration was something I knew I could accomplish with what I had in my closet! And if I can toot my own horn real quick I'll just say that I really love how this look came together! The color and print is all very summery and the light wash of the denim just keeps it looking "light". Well happy Monday! hope it's a great one!
