Love

For no particular reason I just felt like talking about this amazing man today on my blog. So, if mushy-gushy talk makes you irritated then please don't read because there will be a lot of it.

For those that are new around here or may have not read our story, let me give a little background on us. Daniel and I met at BYU-Idaho. It wasn't like a "love at first sight" type of story. I mean, sure, I thought he was super cute (he says he thought the same thing) but he thought I hated him and I thought he was way too cute for me. However, by chance we gave it another shot and it just clicked from there on out. When we were dating I would often think about how great a husband he would be and how lucky I would be to call him mine. There was a lot to like about this guy. He was funny, super smart, talented in everything he did, he worked hard and had a huge heart. I started to fall in love with him quick. I just couldn't help it. Now fast forward almost 7 years later and I have come to find that all the things that I liked about him I now LOVE. Don't get me wrong, we can both get on each others nerves (no one is perfect) but there is just so much more good than the bad. He makes me laugh so stinking hard. I love his quiet humor and his quick wit. He has a funny personality which makes life so interesting.
I love that he gets intense about his passions and interests. I will never understand why cars are so exciting to him but it's cute to see how happy they make him. He is still the smartest, most loving, hard working man I know. Which is funny because I remember growing up thinking that no one could out shine my daddy, but if there had to be someone, I'm glad it's him. I love this man more than I can express and am so blessed to have him in my life. So thank you Daniel Lover for making my life such a happy place. Thank you for all the love and good times you truly are my blessing.

New Kicks

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6.

Have y'all seen this hot trend of fashion "kicks"? I am in LOVE. It's such a cute, fresh take on the normal flat. New Balance is doing a killer job with fun prints and bright colors. But Nike and Vans are really sticking in there with the competition. These are just some of my favorite kicks found at Nordstrom and J.Crew. I love that you can wear these shoes with anything. Really anything you would wear flats with you can now substitute with your new kicks. I really like the idea of a stretchy pencil skirt, a baseball T and these fun shoes. How cute would that be?! Go get yourself some new kicks and wear them everywhere you go!

Dress Your Best

Have you guys shopped at LuLu*s? I have known about it for a while and love it. They are a great store that holds amazing brands like Steve Madden, Chinese Laundry and BB Dakota to name a few. As the weather is slowly getting warmer I have started looking for dresses. If you are like me dresses make you more happy than bird with a french fry. Thank you LuLu*s for making my dress shopping a breeze!

Floral Valentines

Shirt | Skirt | Marshalls Shoes

This pretty skirt has been somewhat of a hot commodity around the internet.  I see it floating around Pintrest all the time. I found it early on and am pretty happy I made the jump on adding it to my midi skirt collection. This is my final Valentines outfit ideas and I have to say I love how fun and simple it is. My shirt says it all, always say "yes" to your Valentine. I hope you guys have a good one! I really enjoyed putting together these Valentines looks, I hope you enjoyed them as well. Happy Valentines Day!

Love in Pink

Blouse similar here and here| Skirt | Heels similar here

 Valentines look number 3
This preppy look is one of my favorites. I purchased this skirt from Express a while ago (still available online)  and just love the color. The bright pink is super fun and goes with a lot. In my last post I asked what you all had planned for Valentines day, and I thought I should share what we are planning on doing. Neither of us are huge celebrators of Valentines Day although we enjoy it, it's mostly an excuse for a great date night. So we are planning on going to the Houston Temple and enjoy that time together. The temple is such a peaceful place. I am super excited to spend Valentine Day there (although we can go whenever we want) and especially to spending time there with my lover! To me that is a perfect Valentines day.

I hope you all have awesome plans, even if you plan on staying in and enjoying a movie together.

Pink and Lace

Look Courtesy of New York & Co. Shoes from Marshall's

Valentines look #2 is all about girly aspects. I fell in LOVE with this shirt from the moment I saw it. The raw scalloped hems are perfect. It's so feminine, which is exactly my style. I also really love these colors together. Hot pink and navy are great complimentary colors.

Valentines

Dress from NY&Co Eva Mendez collection similar | Shoes Marshal's similar

This week I am bringing you a fun line up of cute Valentines outfits! I LOVE this holiday (wasn't always that way.) But not for the reasons you may think. It's such a fun, lovey-dovey time. It's also a fun time (for us girls) to dress up. So get ready for a week of floral, pink, pearls and mushy gushy stories. I love this dress because it just screams Valentines to me. The gorgeous color mixed with the polka dots and floral print are the total girly combo! Because it is pretty busy I stuck with a light pearl necklace. I am all about the all around "look" so I let my hair go in soft curls (thanks to the wind it looks a little more tousled) and neutral make-up and I am wearing these sweet faux lashes from Target that I totally recommend. So now I want to know what you guys have planned for Valentines Day. Are you staying in or going out? Whatever you do I hope you have a great Valentines Day with your lover(s)

Polka Dots and Pom Poms

Hat | Shirt | Skirt | Sweater and Necklace was gifted | Sneakers

I love shopping at Old Navy, their clothing is so versatile, stylish and on trend. The first thing I do when I walk in, is go straight to the sale items, and then shop the rest of the store. My trick for shopping sale items is looking for classic pieces, things that won't go out of style any time soon. That way you can wear them with anything and for a long time. Plus it was on SALE. Is there anything better? Add your sale (classic items) with full price (trendier pieces) to make a great look.
I really like this sporty look. It's easy going but still stylish. My favorite thing is to add a little feminine to the sporty get-up. A statement necklace really goes a long way. Oh, SPOILER ALERT sneakers are gonna be HOT this spring. I am getting them while the getting is good. Look at Target for great sneakers at a great price!

What are your thoughts on the sporty trend? Are you loving it or are you over it?

Have a great Tuesday!
