Grad Gifts for him
Also, my little brother is graduating high school on Tuesday and I am totally wigging out. I tell him this all the time, but I still remember the day he was born. It's crazy that he is already 17, (going on 18) graduating high school and getting ready for his mission. As a mission gift my sister and I kind of made it a thing to get the brothers a turquoise ring. So there Jakey, sorry the surprise is ruined. These are just a few things I thought any one going to college or getting ready for a mission would need and appreciate. ( I mean, come on who doesn't want letter labels?)

Casual Friday
I have been all about Loft and Marshall's lately. I'm noticing they are my go to stores, for good reason. I love how Loft clothing fits and I love their style (Ann Taylor also, but of course, they are sister stores). And then there's Marshall's. You cant go wrong there! It is my first stop when shopping, because I know I can find great fashion at an even better price and thats exactly why I love it.
Friday is the perfect day for a white top, jeans and sneakers. And to tell you the truth, that is all I've been wanting to wear lately, that or sweats. (good thing I got those awesome, lounge pants. Lounge pants are just a chic word for sweats)
Ok, let me just tell you about these sneaker. I saw them on Friday night while The Hubs and I were shopping for marbles. (sounds funny, I know. We are planting flowers and needed some marbles and husband was sure we would find them at Marshall's-I wasn't about to argue.) I tried them on, really loved them, (they are as comfy as can be) took them off and thought..... Spun them around in my hand a few times, carried them around the store, and then when we were all done looking (for marbles we didn't find), for some bizarre reason, I decided not to get them. I literally thought about them the rest of the night. And when I woke up Saturday morning, my head popped off the pillow, (like that Brian Regan skit- Stupid in School, watch it. It's hilarious!) and I realized that if I didn't go back to Marshall's right then, they would be gone. So naturally I went to Marshall's and now they reside in my closet, as happy as can be! Moral of the story, when you find sneakers that you love, buy them!

Beauty Picks
Hi there! So this is the first time I have done a "beauty" post and to tell you the truth, I'm pretty nervous to do so. I don't know why but maybe because it's a little out of my comfort zone. I don't know, but let me start off by saying, I don't feel like I am makeup or beauty expert but I know what works for me and brands that I like to use, mostly because they never fail me. So today, I'm sharing brands I love and I hope you try them and fall in love with them as well!
First, I always start with a clean face. It seems like a really brainless step, but a clean face makes a big difference in the application of your foundation. (Funny) My favorite is "Simple Facial Wipes". Simple's brand is all about being good to your skin. They are free of harsh chemicals and artificial perfumes or dyes. Which I love because my skin is pretty sensitive. I also love the convenience of the wipe, it's great for those mornings you are rushing out the door.
When it comes to lip color, I trust no one but Revlon. I love their Lip Butter series because the lipstick goes on super smooth, it feels soft on your lips and lasts a good while. My favorite color is Cotton Candy. It's a soft pink that's perfect for spring. I am also loving Revlon's Super Lustrous Lip Gloss. They have a lot of fun colors, my favorite is Fuchsia Finery, and they smell yummy! And of course the Super Lustrous Lipsticks are a go to. I'm really liking the color Pink Pearl. (wearing Fuchsia Finery)
My favorite blush is True Match by L'Oreal in the color Tender Rose. I am constantly going back to L'Oreal's true match colors because I think they are the best! They last a long time and really do match skin to make your coloring look natural. I like using True Match's "Cocoa" for contouring.
My favorite foundation, a recent find, is Maybelline's Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish. I love how it goes on super smoothly and makes my skin look flawless. I also really like how it makes my skin look Dewey or creamy.
And lastly, my favorite nail colors for spring and summer are Fun on the Gondola, Big Spender and Geranium (in order) all by Essie. I like Essie for a couple reasons. First, they always have fun and trendy colors. Second, I find that it glides on nails easily and lasts for a long time.
