Favorite Finds

All items found at Charming Charlie

So I debated this for about 20 minutes and decided I better post my Favorite Finds as well. While at Market Street I went to Charming Charlie, they have the best accessories. If you have never been you need to! It's an experience.
Since it's the start to the spring season they have all their pastel colors in the front of the store, and everything was soooo pretty. I would love to pair that top blue, lace dress with the floral scarf above it. Ah so cute! In the second picture I love the layered necklaces with the light cotton shirt and blazer. I actually moved the purse they had on display with this mannequin just because this white and blue purse was so cute/pretty and it actually spoke to me. It said, "Please show me off, I'm beautiful!" so I did. ( I know I'm crazy, but it's true) Then lastly I love how they mixed the light purple with the light blue in their display box. Like I said creative juices......
It's only once in a while that I'll do two posts a day, but for today ya'll got lucky! :) Thanks for reading!

Style Watch Friday

 Gabriela Graessue and Angel Rueda
 Ashley Krier
Courtney Schweitzer

So Fridays are going to be my Style Watch and/or Favorite Finds day. This Friday is Style Watch where I take pictures of people off the street and write about why I love their outfits so much!
If you are ever in the Woodlands you must go to Market Street Shopping Center. It is the best place to get inspiration for your wardrobe. Wether it be from the stores itself or just from the people on the street, it seriously gets your (or at least my) creative juices flowing. No lie, it is amazing how good people look to go shopping.
Today was kind of a weird day however. I swear everyone on Market Street was either in their workout clothes or shorts and a t-shirt (an I mean like high school team t-shirt)  I don't know if it was due to the gorgeous weather, spring break or a mixture of both but everyone seemed to be slummin it today. Luckily I walked into one of my FAVORITE stores, Langford Market, and I found four gorgeous people, wearing some great stuff. Ashley and Courtney actually work at the store and to their credit they always look great, but then I saw these two gorgeous people out of the corner of my eye. Not only are they pretty to look at, they had  such great style. So let me start off by talking about Gabriela and Angels outfits'.

Angel: WOW doesn't that purple look great on you! His dark hair and olive skin color is totally complimented by this cool color of purple. He paired his button up shirt with some lightly distressed jeans to give it that relaxed feeling and by adding a belt to match his shoes he pulled the outfit together nicely. Dressing good for guys can be very simple and Angel followed all the rules with this outfit.

Gabriela: I don't know how to make a whistle sound on the computer, but just know I tried. Her outfit is so simple and easy to pull off. She has a very straight figure so she belted a looser shirt to give herself an hourglass figure, and since she has such a little waist she pulled this look off perfectly. Her fun printed skirt and yellow shoes to match show off a little bit of her personality without being too over the top. I love it! I also think that her and Angle's outfits complement each other. They just look great!

Ashley: I LOVE all the colors! I am crazy about color this spring and just like your floral prints a handkerchief print like this will allow you to get a lot of color in easily. Ashley is a petite girl so she pulls off this busy print nicely. She added some earrings to match and a great yellow clutch to bring it all together :).
Courtney: Her outfit is like the bohemian chic style you see just about everywhere and can I just say, she wears it well! I love this maxi dress. It again has great color combos (color blocking at it's best if you ask me) which would make your life simple when looking for accessories. She completes the look by layering long necklaces and bangles galore! I love it.

Thank you to the four of you for allowing me to take your picture. I had fun!

I kinda hate Thursdays

Dress: Target Jacket: TJ Maxx Necklace: Langford Market

Thursday-I kinda hate you. Daniel has a training every Thursday night right after work. He is there till 9pm and sense the training is an hour away he doesn't get back till 10pm. It's really sad, I don't like it. Luckily the training ends in a few weeks, but for now I have to find productive activities to keep me busy. But I sure do miss my honey when he is gone. Have I ever mentioned how amazingly awesome he is?! Well he really is. He supports me so much, through everything I do and if you know me, you know that I can do some pretty crazy stuff now and then. Once again my sweet honey took these pictures and luckily we were able to take them earlier.
I neglected to write about my outfit in yesterdays post-I'll let that one pass but for today let me just tell you why I think something like this works for spring. I love floral prints. They are so lively and add color so effortlessly to your wardrobe. Florals will be your friend this spring. You can pair them easily with accessories and surprisingly florals go with anything. I chose a jean jacket to go over because it was still a little chilly out. But the jacket hits in just the right spot-not too low, not too high- so that I still have shape and don't look boxy. I added a necklace to bring out the blue color in the dress and ta-da you have a spring outfit.

Always a Bright Side

Belt:Target, Bangles:Target, Dress: Walmart Jacket: Langford Market

So if you've been reading so far, and have become a regular (in the four days that I have posted, HA) you may have read my " A little problem" segment. For those that haven't let me just get you caught up to speed. I was diagnosed with PCOS in the middle of December (if you don't know what that is read my post on it here or just look it up). Upon finding out my little problem I have become very active in fixing it and learning all I can so that I don't have to struggle with it- hopefully. I also wanted to learn all about it so that I could inform and help those that are going through or may go through it in the future  because it SUCKS pretty major! I just don't want girls to go through what I went through, thinking and planning on having a baby and then finding out, not only you're not pregnante but you will not be able to get pregnante without A LOT of work. Seriously if you have any concerns about having it I highly suggest you talking to your OBGYN so when you are ready to have a baby there are no surprises. (obviously I'm only talking to the girls right now-sorry guys) So after finding out, I decided I would take matters into my own hands and be active about eating healthy and working out daily. (I have committed myself to working out EVERYDAY.) And even though it is really tough to know that even after all this hard work and refraining from foods I really love I still may not be able to get pregnante, I was able to see the bright side today. I went to the store to get some stuff and decided to try on some clothes. I was pleasantly surprised when my usual size was swallowing me. I went down a size and found that it too was a little too big. Needless to say I was grinning from ear to ear (to tell you the truth i'm ginning now as I write this.) It made me so happy to go back and get not one, but  TWO sizes smaller than I was in December. I have put a lot of work into it but I couldn't be happier. I know this may sound crazy to some, but I truly believe that there are good things that come out of even the worst situations! (which I am so grateful I don't have something worse) If you are someone struggling with PCOS just know your bright side will come soon enough. Thanks for all the support up to this point! I hope you keep reading.

More Of Spring Trends

Black and White
In Glamour Magazine they say to pick up one or two trends this spring and you'll be set. I agree! Another trend that I am absolutely loving is the Black and White. And the way I would wear it is the fabulous dress on the right. It's like color blocking but monochromatic.... it's monochrom-blocking. The black and white trend is intended to be just black and white, so surpress the urge to add color with your accessories. For this trend keep it simple. Go ahead and add jewelry or a belt but keep it basic. These three outfits, plus many more, can be found at White House Black Market.....which if you ask me makes accomplishing this trend pretty explanatory.

Color Faves!!

Ooooo........ Spring Colors!
Don't you just love when spring is in the air? I know I do! I love the warm sun shine, the birds chirping outside my window and all the trees and flowers in bloom. But what I love most about the change in seasons, are the new fashion trends. Here are some of the hottest colors for spring. The names may change but the colors will remain the same.
For the most part all these colors will look great on everyone! However if you have green or yellow undertones in your skin stay away from the mossy "margarita" color.
You might also be thinking that you can't wear the light pink, the yellow or the tangerine/coral color. Which you might be right. Depending on the hue of your hair and your skin tones you might want to stray away from the exact colors above, but no matter your hair or skin color, the vibrant pink, cobalt blue, light cackatoo and sunshine yellow will look great on you! So add some color to your wardrobe this spring!

Spring Color Trends

Do you need an easy way to be on trend this spring? Think bold, bright colors. Color blocking will still be hot this season so live it up! If all over color is not your thing,  a colorful accessory or a bright nail color will do the trick!
